YS Virtual School offers a variety of resources for making online learning a fun engaging experience. Currently, we have the following features available with more in development

YS Workshops : These are a great way to get introduced to new areas of study and gain fresh perspectives on familiar ideas. The typical workshop lasts 90 to 120 mins and uses visual learning tools like simulations, puzzles, animations, activities and more.

YS Courses: For those that require a more rigorous treatment of the study material and desire a structured learning program over a longer duration. These courses provide a guided exploration of concepts beyond the standard curriculum available to students and aid in college preparation..

YS Recordings: Is your timezone is preventing you from attending the scheduled sessions? Don't worry, we record our sessions in HD quality.You can pay and take these sessions at your comfort, along with your family members and sibilings.Parents can accompany the children and supplement their learning.

YS Worksheets & Infographics : These supplemental materials are crucial to increase the efficiency of learning. The live sessions inspire and provide new avenues for learning, and the infographics and worksheets provide concise explanations and exercises that reinforce the concepts discussed.

YS Facilitators: We draw from a diverse pool of science and technology enthusiasts who pledge to make learning fun and accessible for all! They are funny, simplify complex ideas, make science relatable, and welcome questions from the kids with honest answers. We do not introduce stress in education by enabling competition between students and arbitrary deadlines. Each child learns at their own pace and our goal is to maximise the efficiency of this process without compromising on the joy of learning.

YS Learning Quotient: This comprises a comprehensive set of tools and metrics that give insight and a measure of one’s learning progress. This is meant to motivate the student and track their personal advancement. The efficiency of Learning Quotient relies on the enthusiasm with which the students provide feedback by engaging with the facilitator and the learning tasks provided.

Mission:

To create, provide, and facilitate valuable educational resources, engaging learning environments and stimulating conversations to guide the growth of, improve the capacity of, and empower the intellectual process of the highly motivated youth.

We aim to teach students how to teach themselves, to become better learners and find joy in this process. The YS Learning Quotient comprises a comprehensive set of tools and metrics that give insight and a measure of one’s learning progress. This is meant to motivate the student and track their personal advancement. We do not introduce stress in education by enabling competition between students and arbitrary deadlines. Each child learns at their own pace and our goal is to maximise the efficiency of this process without compromising the joy of learning.

The YS Learning Quotient works in conjunction with our principle of making the sessions interactive and advocacy of activities beyond the session. A sincere pursuit of the learning tasks by the student, whether to full or partial completion, provides us with the feedback necessary for a personalised approach to teaching. Our courses include the following whenever possible:

Do you offer structured course plans or lesson plans?

Yes, the lesson plans are laid out in advance for each course with room for flexibility to adapt to variation in student groups. The schedule is made available during promotion of courses and in the public view. The detailed lesson plans are considered proprietary and reserved only for internal viewing.
